ROSIE O'DONNELL will not make her television comeback on MSNBC. The former View co-host wrote on her free-flowing blog yesterday that she was prepared to host her own primetime show on MSNBC, but the deal fell through. She said, quote, "My career as a pundit is over before it began." She added, quote, "Just as well. I figure everything happens for a reason."
Rosie would have competed against CNN's Larry King Live and Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes.

You Go, DOG!
While DUANE "DOG" CHAPMAN deals with the fallout from one scandal, he got some good news regarding another yesterday. A Mexican judge ruled the star of A&E's Dog the Bounty Hunter -- who caused a stir last week when a tape of him using racial slurs became public -- will not be extradited to Mexico to face kidnapping charges. The U.S. government wanted to send Chapman, his son and a third man to Mexico, where they were charged in 2003 with kidnapping an American man who had jumped bail after being accused of raping three women and fled to Mexico to escape prosecution. Chapman and his crew brought the man back to the U.S., where he was sent to prison. A judge in Mexico dismissed the charges in July, but prosecutors there appealed the ruling.
In other Chapman news, the bounty hunter will try to do some major damage control tonight when he appears on Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes. It'll be his first TV interview since the racist comments he made while talking to his son in a phone conversation went public. In light of his comments, A&E has indefinitely suspended production of Dog the Bounty Hunter and pulled the show from its schedule.
