Rosie's new show, and we ain't talkin' bout Roseanne!

NBC has confirmed it's in negotiations with ROSIE O'DONNELL to do a one-hour primetime show on the network's cable news channel MSNBC.

O'Donnell added fuel to the fire when she kicked off the New York Comedy Festival with a stand-up routine last night. According to People.com, she confirmed that she's working on a new TV project, telling the audience, quote, "We're filming for an unidentified TV station, which I'm not allowed to mention." She added, quote, "They told me not to mention this possible show, and they are men in business suits. Nothing is scarier than men in business suits screaming at you over the phone."

TV Guide's STEVEN BATTAGLIO says if the deal goes through, viewers can expect to see the same Rosie that stirred up controversy on The View. He says, quote, "If MSNBC is hiring her, they're hiring her to be Rosie, and that means being noisy, being controversial, and even being funny once in a while."
