TV Potpourri

NBC's ER isn't quite on life support, despite speculation to the contrary. Executive producer JOHN WELLS tells Variety he will likely discuss the possibility of a 15th season with the network in the near future...

Showtime's Weeds is extinguishing any potential controversy surrounding the current season's final two episodes. According to TVGuide.com, the cable channel has released a statement concerning a story line that evidently mirrors the California wildfires. The note, which was included in press screeners for the show, reads, quote, "These episodes were written and filmed this past summer, long before Southern California experienced a real-life tragedy."
