A Florida woman who received a marriage proposal on the 2004 edition of ABC's The Bachelor was arrested after midnight last Wednesday on charges she punched a man she lives with in the mouth. Authorities in Seminole County say MARY DELGADO was charged with battery and was under the influence of alcohol when she was taken into custody. Delgado was released Wednesday afternoon.
A police report does not identify the man, but says the pair has lived together for the past three years. TMZ.com has identified the victim as BYRON VELVICK, the bachelor who proposed to Delgado on the show. The two appeared together last week on an ABC special entitled After the Final Rose. TMZ.com says the pair got into an alcohol-fueled fight after their TV appearance. Delgado is a former cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Velvick is a professional bass fishermants for the eight more remaining to be filmed for the season.
