Strike UPDATE! #774

Although talks between writers and producers resumed yesterday, with the writers strike in its fourth week there are chilly prospects for television viewing ahead. Here's a peek at what the networks have on tap for the next few months if the strike lingers on:

ABC:
ABC-TV's Samantha Who? has six more episodes left. Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies and Grey's Anatomy each have two new episodes to go. Desperate Housewives airs the last of its new episodes Sunday. The new comedy-drama Cashmere Mafia will arrive with seven episodes completed.

CBS:
The Crime Scene Investigation trio, plus NCIS, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace and Cold Case are down to four or fewer new episodes each. The network's new sitcom Big Bang Theory has also run dry, along with How I Met Your Mother, Two And a Half Men and Rules of Engagement. The New Adventures of Old Christine will be back with at least eight episodes, and the apocalyptic drama Jericho will return with seven episodes.

NBC:
The final new episode of NBC-TV's Heroes airs December 3rd. The Office will only have reruns on deck. In January, Medium will return with nine episodes in the can.

FOX:
FOX-TV airs a new House on Tuesday. After that, only three more new episodes remain. Family Guy has scheduled a normal mix of new and repeat episodes at least through January. K-Ville has two fresh episodes left. The network's new show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will have a two-night premiere on January 13th and 14th, and has thirteen episodes completed. And 24 has been postponed indefinitely.
